“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” ~James Clear, Atomic Habits

Repetition creates habit.

But what to repeat is more important.

I have long struggled with my ideal screening system. This is no surprise. An ideal screening system is influenced by 3 things (in my opinion):

  1. Your requirements.

  2. The resources (time + money) available to you.

  3. The stage of the trader (beginner-intermediate-peak).

In my short trading journey of <3 years, my screening has changed and evolved. It is less time-consuming now (but I imagine still longer than an average trader), and more structured. I have also committed to a Setup and hence really only need to run 1 scan daily. But the wanderer-tinkerer-egoistic-greedy guy in me wants to follow every script and dip into every pickle jar there is.

So, the struggle is still there. But I am striving towards nirvana every day.

Here is what I do today.
